'So much talent right here': Spring Lake filmmaker brings new drama to Amazon Prime Video

A Spring Lake filmmaker who got his start in local productions proves that professional storytelling can happen right here in Cumberland County.

When Antione Way first stepped in front of a camera, he never imagined he’d one day be directing yet another feature film, this one released March 1 on Amazon Prime, he said. Way said his latest project, "Tangled Hearts," explores love, faith and forgiveness through the interconnected lives of four couples. He said the film features several local actors who appeared in his 2022 film, "My Shattered Life," alongside newcomers to the acting world. He said that out of the 40-member cast, approximately 35 were local actors.

"A lot of people think you have to go to Atlanta or Los Angeles to make movies," Way said Wednesday. "But we have so much talent right here in Fayetteville. We just need to come together and create opportunities." read more
